Drinks

Question: How do people run and carry drinks?

I normally hold my keys in one hand and my mobile phone (for timing and emergencies) in the other. Obviously it's not a problem whilst treadmill running but it is a problem when you are running outdoors (especially in the day!)!

  1. Carry a belt for the water or take some change and put it into your pocket to be used when you pass a shop which sells water.

  2. Hi Dez,
Wrote a big reply on your blog then realised I couldn't post it. I've just bought an O shaped bottle for £1.50 which I'll give a go with tomorrow - carries 250ml, and I'll aim to stop at a shop and top it up. Heard from the running club that some have belts (could cause rubbing), and some drive out with their car to leave bottles behind trees along the route.
All I can say is that I did 16 miles a couple of weeks ago with no food or water and it didn't feel good!
